Austria/Germany/Switzerland Trip Finalized
Everthing finally set for May trip. We will also take a high speed train to Paris for a few extra days after the trip.

Day 0: Depart Seattle for Vienna
Day 1: Arrive in Vienna Transfer to your centrally located hotel. Welcome and orientation dinner. Sleep in Vienna
Day 2: A day in Vienna Breakfast This morning meet your local guide for an orientation walk of the old town of Vienna. Visit the Figaro House where Mozart lived, the Hofburg Winter Palace and enjoy lunch at the historic Café central. Afternoon free Evening Strauss concert
Day 3: Vienna Enjoy a private tour of the Vienna Fine Arts museum. Afternoon free to explore the many historic sites of Vienna. Late afternoon, depart for the Vienna Woods where you will enjoy a wine tasting and a traditional Viennese dinner.
Day 4: Vienna to Salzburg via Melk and a cruise on the Danube Depart Vienna for and cruise the most beautiful section of the Danube River. Lunch at the Monastery of Melk Tour the monastery with your private local guide. Arrive in historic Salzburg for dinner in Europe’s oldest restaurant; Saint Peters Monastery (which is 1,000 years old). Sleep in Salzburg
Day 5: A full day in Salzburg Breakfast Meet your local guide for an insiders look at Salzburg. Visit Mozart’s birthplace, the city cemetery and the Mirabel gardens. Free afternoon Fortress dinner concert tonight. Sleep in Salzburg
Day 6: Salzburg to Munich via the Eagles Nest Breakfast Depart for Hitler’s Eagles Nest Spend the morning exploring the Alps and learning about Hitler’s mountain retreat. Evening dinner in Munich at the famous Hofbrau House Sleep in Munich
Day 7: A day in Munich Breakfast Meet your local guide for a fascinating walk of the old town of Munich. End walk at the old town square. Free afternoon to explore Munich on your own.
Day 8: The Romantic Road of Bavaria & Dachau Breakfast Tour Dachau concentration camp (the first camp of its kind in the 1930s) Drive the scenic Romantic Road stopping in Operamagau (the village of the famous Passion Play) Tour Linderhof Castle Evening in the Alps in the village of Reutte Sleep in Reutte on the border of Germany
Day 9: A morning walk into Germany and visit Neuschwanstein Castle Breakfast Walkers set off for a 3 mile walk through the woods to Mad King Ludwig’s castle, Neuschwanstein! Non walkers will drive to Neuschwanstein castle Picnic lunch by the lake below castle Afternoon free to hike, bike or take a scenic glider through the Alps. Sleep in Reutte
Day 10: Into Switzerland Breakfast Depart for Switzerland stopping in route where the scenic is at its best Arrive in the afternoon in Lake Lucerne Time for walks shopping, and evening cruise on the Lake Sleep in Lake Lucerne
Day 11: Lake Lucerne to Murren via Interlaken Breakfast Depart for Interlaken Lunch in Interlaken Drive through the Lauterbrunnen Valley to the Cog Wheel station. Transfer by cogwheel train to Murren at 5,450 Ft. Enjoy the incredible views of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and Schiltorn. Fondue dinner overlooking the Alps! Sleep in Murren
Day 12: Explore the Alps Breakfast Today’s option: you might wish to catch the Gondola to the top of the Schiltorn. The Schiltorn is the longest aerial cableway in the Alps and takes you as high as 9744 feet (2970 m). ...Here you can enjoy lunch in a rotating restaurant. This is where the 007 movie “Her Majesty’s Secret Service” was filmed. Walk the flat Lauterbrunnen valley and visit Trumelbach Falls. Dinner in Murren Sleep in MurrenLauterbrunnen Valley
Day 13: Another day in the Alps Breakfast Today’s option? May we suggest a day exploring the villages on the other side of the Lauterbrunnen Valley? Cogwheel trains & Gondolas link up in such a way that you can spend the entire day village hopping, picnicking and hiking the area beneath the Mönch, Eiger and Jungfrau. Enjoy a farewell dinner tonight Sleep in Murren
Day 14: Tour over after breakfastNOTE: It is a three hour drive to Zurich or many folks might wish to continue on to France or continue exploring Switzerland.
4 extra days in Paris before heading home.
