They use Skype and it is free.
Easy to load software. All you need is a computer with a cam & a mike...most laptops manufactured in the last few years have a cam & microphone built in or you can buy one at Best Buy cheaply.
Real cool you can talk and view live from over 43 countries for free !! This APP is available on many Blackberries and I-phones. Unfortunately some cruise lines like Princess Block Skype but you can use it off ship.
